Dental Hygienist - Jennifer Allen

We are very pleased to announce that Ms Jennifer Allen has joined our practice. She has a qualification from Sheffield University and is a registered Dental Therapist as well as a Dental Hygienist.

There has been a great demand for such services since our previous hygienist left, and Ms Allen will now be available in the Port Erin Dental Surgery on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She will see you on appointment and her charges are £ 35 for a ½ hour visit.

Dental Hygienists play an important role in the dental team in preventing and treating periodontal disease (gum disease). When seeing a Dental Hygienist, you can bring up any dental issue, and if appropriate she will consult or refer to a dentist.

Other services provided by them are cosmetic treatment, such as removal of discolorations and smoke stains.

Some people treat themselves to a visit with the Dental Hygienist for a general feeling of well being, or simply peace of mind.
